 MA043X   Fine Pitch Speed Sensor

Description:

The MA043X Speed Sensor utilizes solid state, no moving parts technology to measure the magnetic field disturbance caused by ferrous metal gear teeth rotating by the sensors' face. This sensor relies on a proprietary flux reversal to trigger its output; this reversal will only work properly if the sensor's magnet is aligned to the target's rotation direction. The advantage to this flux reversal technology is that the sensor operates independant of target speed, providing a true 'zero speed' capability. The sensor's internal electronic circuitry and permanent magent are epoxied in a threaded aluminium housing using a corrosive and shock resistance epoxy. The result is a rugged, dependable sensor that can be dropped, subjected to vibration, washed down with water spray, and submerged under water without regard to sensor life.
